Born in Covilhã, Portugal in 1970, João José Lourenço started his music studies in Covilhã's Music Conservatory in 1984. During this time he also played as organist in one of the local parishes. After finishing Conservatory he took a BMus in Music Theory. Meanwhile, he studies Choral Conducting, Composition and Orchestration. He is now starting a Masters of Education on Music Teaching. He sings in a choir conducted by his former Choral Conducting teacher, plays keyboards in a ballroom dance band and he is making his first approach to basso continuo playing the harpsichord. Along with this, he's writing music withand without educational purposes.
